Day 28 -- Listen To How It Goes

Quesadillas for lunch with Sam Sam!  I grated the cheese while he ate what I just shredded…then onto the sizzling pan the buttery tortillas went!  I felt like we should spice up our time together by playing a favorite tune of mine: Santana’s Oye Como Va.  I felt very themed as I tried to teach Sam how to Salsa.  He taught me how to do a chicken dance.

We gobbled our delicious lunch as follows:
I couldn’t find the gobbling clip by itself, so you’ll just have to deal through the most magnificent movie trailer of all time.  May I comment on how much I love this movie and wish that these animals were all alive so that I could hang out with them every day of my life?  Well…I love this movie and wish that these animals were all alive so that I could hang out with them every day of my life.  If you have not seen this delightful film…then watch it.

Day 27 -- I Ate the Cupcakes For the Frosting

Last night Michelle prepared batter to bake cupcakes!  This morning, she told me that I am welcome to finish them.  So of course, I did.  While Samuel was at school, I whipped together the finest frosting ever while listening to Foo Fighter’s DOA (this is a great cupcake making song, I feel).  I ate heap after heap of sugary goodness from my oversized spoon…I truly feel poorly (sick) as I write this post.  The first batch of buns I made were a tad overcooked, but not to worry!  I made a second batch!  They were…not overcooked.  Samuel had one cupcake…and I snuck two.  Whoa holy food, I know.  But they were so unbelievably tasty!  I want to go have another one right now before the boys get home and eat them all.
While on facebook, my friend, Christopher Klassen, sent me a link to his hilarious new film!  I am in love with the ducky, and Chris created it all by himself!  I remember looking through all of his beginning sketches during art class my senior year!  Please enjoy!

Later that night, Elena and I went to go see Pirates of the Carrebian 4 with Dustin!  I liked it!  I mean it was true to the other movies, so...yeah.  Thumbs up.  For an entertaining whatever movie.

Day 26 -- Lovin' Laundry

I love Mondays.  I realized that I genuinely enjoy washing my clothes...using the washing machine.  It’s not like I just began to wash my clothes…but I love hampers bursting of fresh articles that are ready to be placed on my frame!  Right in the middle of laying on top of all my recently warmed clothes, I had to get up and go pick up Samuel from school.  I had to put on a pair of my newly laundered jeans…this is when I recognized how much I didn’t actually want to slip on the perfect jeans; fearing that I would have to wash them again shortly.  And then I reminded myself that I recently realized how much I love washing clothes!  So wearing the jeans didn’t bother me after that.  I’m looking forward to washing them again.  And I picked up Sam, not caring that we were jumping in mud puddles created by the simultaneous dropping rain.
We all went to the park for one hour, 5-6 pm.  I nearly froze to death, no help from my blue beanie, scarf, and puffy black jacket zipped up to my chin.  My feet wore flip-flops.  My feet don’t get so cold.
There was something that was memorable today…But I forgot it.  I suppose it wasn’t so memorable.

Day 25 – Is Bambi a deer?

After church, we went to some truly old-fashioned house…I can’t even remember where it is was or what it’s called!  But it was gorgeous!  We saw a lot of deer, which brings me to the title of this post.  I was asked the silliest question of all time:  Is Bambi a deer?  Now Dustin, don’t get offended while you’re reading this-because I know you do read all these little posts of mine-but I just thought that it was hysterical!  Oh, did I ever even answer you?  I’m sorry, my reply is...yes.

Creepiest eyes of all time.

So after visiting the house, we went to the actual Institute Graduation!  It was incredibly exciting.  The word CONGRATULATIONS even blew up with fire on the powerpoint followed by a youtube video of fireworks.

Day 24 -- Identity Crisis

I went to Robin Hood’s home forest today!  It was so cute, even though I didn’t get to see a fox with an accompanying bear.

This tree was Robin Hood's hiding spot!  It's so old that it is kept up with iron stilts now!

That night, I mentioned to Elena that I was 5'8'' tall.  She knew that she was 5'7'', and I wasn't taller than her!  Michelle measured our heights and it turned out that I am only 5'6''... and a small half.  Can you believe this?!  My driving license even says that I'm 5'8''!  I don't even know who I am anymore...

Day 23 -- Devil Child.

Samuel played in the bathtub for two hours today.  No joke.
When the kids all got home from school, we walked to the Wacky Warehouse, a play gym where kids are free to go senseless.  Some children take this as an opportunity to become little devils while their parents aren’t minding them.  I’m not talking about the Grant children, but rather a dissimilar kid who was outwardly dispatching tickets for children to “go to hell”.  Toddlers came darting down with tears flooding their plump faces because of hurt feelings, and when I finally found the one who was causing this trouble, he caught my gaze and strategically placed his nasty fingers as an “L” on his forehead; therefore calling me a loser.  As if.  Many more dramatic scenes continued…but I’m not going to write about them.
I LOVE Elena!  Because tonight was the Institute Graduation ball, she let me go shopping in her closet for a dress to wear.  I tried on her trendy dresses, shoes, and accessories!  She had the cutest pair of electric blue heels that I envy, so I wore the matching black dress with a blue strip on the bottom.  I swear, Elena is going to be the best mom when her children go to proms and such!  She even took my hands and painted my fingernails!  What a gem.
I didn’t exactly dance at the dance.  Now I know what you’re thinking, “Paige…not dancing?”  Strange concept, I know.  But it was fun even without dancing!

Day 22 -- Oxford with The Naked and Famous

Today was ideal!  My friend picked me up around 11 am to go to Oxford!  We spent the day strolling around the town and just experiencing the stunning sites.  We had lunch at the most adorable corner café while watching a man outside our window fix and check every single bolt on his bike.  We took a trail that led us along the most perfect riverside and watched people relax in their boats.  We then devoted the rest of the day searching for the most pleasing postcard for my mom-you’re welcome.  After the hunt, we had afternoon tea, which I thought was the most hilarious thing.  There is even a section on menus labeled “afternoon tea” in the cafés!  So adorable.

Out of all the beautiful places in Oxford, I decided to have my picture taken in front of a graffiti wall.  Of course.

That night, we went to see The Naked and Famous, a band.  The opening group was extremely creepy and not fine.  The girl reminded me of The Ring/Grudge movies while the stage was bathed in blood-red light.  The Naked and Famous finally came on and right off the bat, a girl spilt her beer on my sleeve.  I smelt fantastic, I’m sure.  Soon after, a sweaty man without a shirt began to shake his booty in front of my friend!  They introduced themselves, and then the man took his hands and began to dance with him!  So funny.  The guy then informed him that he wasn’t a pork meatball…which was a surprise to me.
Then we drove home J Flawless day!
